Stacy Ward, Drug Abuse Prevention Coordinator for the Reno Police Department, and Jolene Dalluhn, MA, LADC, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Quest Counseling & Consulting, will discuss the ongoing crisis with opiod addiction and its affects on our community.
Stacy Ward has served as the Drug Abuse Prevention Coordinator for the Reno Police Department since 2008. Her focus area for 7+ years of her tenure has been the prevention of prescription drug abuse and overdose through both education and targeted enforcement. In this capacity she ran the Reno Police Department's Smart Policing Initiative on prescription drug abuse from 2010-2014, and currently administrates their Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program grant, which analyzes aggregate data from the PMP program to better understand the prescription drug abuse problem in Nevada as well as its link to heroin use. Stacy also works as a Program Analyst for the Nevada Board of Pharmacy's Prescription Monitoring Program, in addition to serving as a subject matter expert for the Bureau of Justice Assistance Smart Policing Initiative, wherein she advises other communities that are working on this issue.
Jolene Dalluhn has her Master’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor and is certified to supervise alcohol and drug abuse counselor interns. Jolene has been working in the substance use disorder field since 1997, co-founded Quest Counseling, is fluent in Spanish and is a certified Multi-Dimensional Family Therapist and Supervisor.
