August 10, 2016 Program: Patti Meals, CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada
Sparks Rotarian Patti Meals is the Executive Director of CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada. CARE Chest is a is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free medical equipment, supplies, prescription assistance and wellness education to Northern Nevadans in need.
For more than 25 years, CARE Chest has been re-using durable medical equipment, putting our community's resources into action. They have provided over 127,000 individual services in Northern Nevada and been a reliable resource for individuals who find themselves facing medical poverty.
CARE Chest is a community-driven organization. Over 85% of funding is private, and 100% of donations stay in Nevada.
