Ormat Technologies is the company that runs Steamboat Geothermal Complex. They employ thousands of people and generate geothermal energy around the world. Kerry Rohrmeier, Phd, is Government Affairs Manager at Ormat, where some of the world's best geologists, geophysicists and chemists work. Kerry will share with us the kind of green economy that can come with these sustainable facilities. |

Paul studied astronomy and astrophysics at UNR, Department of Physics, doing coursework and research using the MacLean Observatory telescopes at the Redfield Campus. Paul also trained at Johnson and Kennedy Space Centers with aerospace and NASA experts in astronomy, engineering and planetary science. His work experience includes the Challenger Learning Center of N. Nevada. Paul says "I work in the coolest classroom on the planet, it's a place of endless wonders. It continues to innovate and inspire." |

Darren McBride graduated from UNR as an Electrical Engineer. After college he worked as a computer designer, and in 1985 founded Sierra Computer Group, a Northern Nevada IT services provider. Darren hosted the technology show Computer Byte's on KKOH radio, and has founded numerous companies including Lookup Software, Telxar and MicroAge Sierra.

Some 85,000 participants, including more than 150 Heads of State and Government, were among the representatives of national delegations, civil society, business, Indigenous Peoples, youth, philanthropy, and international organizations in attendance at the Conference from November 30 to December 13, 2023. Dr. Karin Hilgersom, President, Truckee Meadows Community College, was a panelist, and will discuss the unique role that presidents and senior leadership at higher education institutions play to drive climate action. |

She is the host of the "Test Those Breasts!"™ podcast where she holds important conversations with current patients, survivors, caregivers, therapists and medical provider champions, to provide much-needed education and support. "Test Those Breasts, Inc."™ is a nonprofit that includes resources and education about the signs of breast cancer. Jamie will share with us the importance of self exams, early detection, and self-advocacy using the "Know Your Lemons" curriculum. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Be Vigilant! |
