Fred Horlacher is a retired Nevada History teacher whose career is filled with accolades including the prestigious Milliken Outstanding Teacher Award and both Washoe County's and Nevada's Teacher of the Year Awards. The City of Sparks also named April 23rd, 2012 "Fred Horlacher History Day".
Fred's storytelling skills are renowned. He made Nevada History fun; challenging but fun. Even after his retirement from the school district he is passionate about teaching Nevada history to people of all ages. He currently works with the Sparks Museum and the Community College in LETTING THE WAGONS ROLL bus tours
