Marily Mora, President and CEO and Dean Schultz, EVP and COO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority will present this week’s program.  Ms. Mora will discuss the economic impact and general operations of the Reno- Tahoe International Airport (RNO), and the Reno- Stead Airport (RTS).  Mr. Schultz will present on the master plan for the future of our airport. 
About Marily Mora
Marily Mora became President/CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) on July 1, 2013. She is responsible for leading and directing the Reno- Tahoe International Airport (RNO), and the Reno- Stead Airport (RTS), with an operating budget of $46 million.
 
Mora brings 29 years of airport management experience to the job from three international airports including San Jose, Oakland and Reno-Tahoe International, where she served as Chief Operating Officer for 12 years before moving to Oakland in 2011 as the Assistant Director of Aviation. Ms. Mora also was a Deputy Director of Aviation for Mineta San Jose International Airport. Her multi-modal experience includes her position as Director of the Marketing & Customer Service Division for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.
 
Following the RTAA’s Strategic Plan, Marily is strengthening air service, enhancing general aviation operations and cargo business, pursuing airport economic development and leading a customer service organization. Her community involvement includes serving on the Boards of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors, Northern Nevada Division of American Heart & Stroke Association.
 
She also serves on the Board of Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) and is on the Policy Review Committee for the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). Ms. Mora is also a member of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Drone Advisory Committee. Mora is an Accredited Airport Executive and has a B.A. in International  Relations from the University of California-Davis and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
 
About Dean Schultz, A.A.E.
Dean Shultz, A.A.E, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, has spent his entire 33 year career in the aviation industry.  Dean received a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1984.
 
After graduation he worked as an Aviation Consultant for 13 years and participated in numerous aviation planning, noise and environmental studies at airports in the U.S. and internationally. For 5 of the 13 years Dean lived in Hong Kong and worked as a consultant for a number of Asian airports. He was part of the core team that prepared the master plan and design for the new Hong Kong International Airport and also participated in planning efforts for the new international airports in Seoul South Korea, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and Nanjing China.
 
Twenty years ago Dean joined the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. Although starting as an Airport Planner for the organization, Dean has been promoted several times and for the last six years has served as the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for the Airport Authority.  Dean is also a commercial-instrument pilot and Certified Flight Instructor.
 
In 2003, Dean completed the certification process with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) organization and is now an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.). Dean served as the Chair of the AAAE Environmental Services Committee for three years, Co-Chair of the AAAE UAS Working Group for three years and is currently serving as Vice President of the Operations, Planning, Safety and Emergency Management Committee for AAAE.
