March 30, 2016 Program: Secret Witness
Secret Witness is a private non-profit organization of concerned citizens dedicated to solving crimes and improving public safety by generating information, not otherwise available, that aids law enforcement in prevention of crime, arresting, and prosecuting suspects. The identity of secret witnesses shall remain protected and anonymous. Qualified secret witnesses will be rewarded for their information.
Patrick Pharris and Dave Jenkins will present regarding the organization and the goal to make our community a safer place to live and raise a family.
Dave Jenkins and his wife Terry live in Sparks and raised their family there. Dave is the son of a retired Sparks Police Officer. Dave spent a thirty-four year career with the Reno Police Department which included a 20 year assignment as a homicide detective. During that time Dave was involved in more than 330 homicide investigations. Dave and Terry have two grown children, Allison, a police officer with the Reno Police Department who is currently serving in the Homicide Unit, and Adam, a forensic death investigator with the Washoe County Coroner's Office. Dave knows first hand the value of Secret Witness and it's importance to our community. He has served as a volunteer member of the Secret Witness Board of Directors since his retirement in 2010.
Patrick Pharris owns PATRICK MEDIA, a full service advertising agency established in 2004. Patrick is a Northern Nevadan of over 50 years. Patrick's experience covers every aspect of advertising and marketing with over 25 years of experience.
