The Nature Conservancy in Nevada
Oct 21, 2015
Simon Williams and Chris Sega will join us for lunch to present a brief visual overview of The Nature Conservancy, its work in Nevada and insights into the decade-long restoration project in our backyard on the Truckee River. The Nature Conservancy is the leading global conservation organization whose mission is to protect the lands and waters all life depends upon. Simon will share current project highlights and past accomplishments of The Nature Conservancy’s Nevada Chapter, which to date has helped conserve more than 3 million acres of land and protect more than 26 river miles in the Silver State. Chris will share first-hand project experience and stories from The Nature Conservancy’s efforts in the Truckee watershed, with a focus on the more than 11-mile restoration work on the lower Truckee River. Simon Williams is the Associate Director of Philanthropy for the Nature Conservancy in Nevada. Chris Sega is the organization's Restoration Projects Manager. |
